Our Fosters

With no physical shelter available in Marion County, the Friends of Jefferson Animals relies heavily upon foster homes to save as many animals as we can.  Each time you foster a dog or cat, you afford us the opportunity to rescue another.

Our fosters provide temporary placement where animals can receive much needed shelter, food, medical care, socialization and, most importantly, love... until such time as they are transported northward or undergo adoption.  FOJA provides food, kennels, miscellaneous supplies, and medical expenses.  All that is required from our fosters is a loving home, a safe environment, and a desire to help an animal get ready for its "happily ever after" with a forever family.

Fostering is one of the most fulfilling things you can do and is critical to the success of rescue in our community.  If you would like more information or would like to talk with a foster, please contact us.
